MG_7162.jpg

Tanja is ANVAM’s founder and a multidisciplinary artist, arts educator, art therapist. She specialises in supporting the veteran community (including current and former members of the ADF), emergency service personnel and families, facilitating arts based engagement and recovery programs.

Tanja has worked with veterans in a hospital clinic setting since 2003, and was instrumental in shaping the ADF ARRTS Program through engagement with Defence prior to, and then as a consultant on, the initial programs. Tanja was recognised for her contribution to the Defence and veteran community with the inaugural ADM Women-In-Defence People and Culture Award 2019.

Tanja has been an Executive Director since 2015.

Tanja's support with my own personal journey with PTSD, for me she was an easy candidate to choose to paint. I used a candle to portray her as the LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS, for those who suffer with PTSD.

You can support ANVAM and the work they do by visiting their website at the link below.

Thank you Tanja
